Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS TYPE OF FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING IN THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC PART THAT CONTROLS THE FOOT PEDAL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 33,900.
