Consumer Description
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 BMW 330CI. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE COOLING FAN MOTOR FAILED. THE HEAD GASKET FAILED, WHICH ALSO CAUSED THE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 02V138000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:FAN). THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANY DAMAGES TO THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 82,000.
