Consumer Description
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT IS A PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN AND HE INSPECTED HIS VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS A DEFECTIVE AIR BAG SENSOR MODULE. THE SENSOR MODULE IS LOCATED IN A WAY THAT ALLOWS WATER TO ENTER AND, OVER A PERIOD OF TIME, BECOMES FROZEN, WHICH PERMANENTLY BREAKS THE SENSOR. HE ORDERED THE PART FROM THE DEALER AND REPLACED THE AIR BAG SENSOR AS A TEMPORARY REMEDY. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 25,000. UPDATED 04/29/08. *LJ
