TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE BALL JOINTS SEPARATED WHEN SHE DEPRESSED THE BRAKES. AS A RESULT, THE TIRE SMASHED INTO THE FENDER, WHICH CAUSED A CRASH. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE SUSPENSION: FRONT: CONTROL ARM: LOWER BALL JOINT (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 06V288000) HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 64,000.
