Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET S10. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH REAR WHEELS ON THE FOUR WHEEL ABS INDEPENDENTLY LOCK AND STICK. SPEED WAS NOT A FACTOR. THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDS TO THE FLOOR WHEN DEPRESSED AND DOES NOT RELEASE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, BUT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CALIPERS AND BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WERE FINE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 00V055000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK). THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 81,578 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,078.
