Consumer Description
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR SIX HOURS IN THE DRIVEWAY NEXT TO A RESIDENCE, IT BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE ORIGINATED FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. AN ADDITIONAL VEHICLE PARKED NEXT TO THE TRUCK AND PART OF THE CONTACT'S HOUSE WAS ALSO DAMAGED FROM THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND VERIFIED THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED A RECALL NOTICE WAS NEVER RECEIVED. UPDATED 10/17/2006 - *NM
