DT*: THE CONTACT STATED FOUR YEARS AGO, THE TAILGATE CABLES BROKE WHEN OPENING THE TAILGATE. THERE IS A NHTSA RECALL, # 04V129000, REGARDING THE TAILGATE CABLES ON LARGER MODEL TRUCKS. THE VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS INDICATED IN THE RECALL; HOWEVER, IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO THE VIN. *NM
