CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET TO 55 MPH WHEN VEHICLE STARTED ACCELERATING AT A RAPID SPEED.*MR THE CONSUMER TURN THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF AND APPLIED THE BRAKE BUT THAT DID NOT STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ACCELERATING. THE CONSUMER HAD TO TURN THE IGNITION OFF AND COAST TO THE SHOULDER. *NM
