I HAVE JUST LEARNED OF THE BAD DESIGN OF THE STEERING BOX BRACKET ON MY 2006 ALPINE APEX MOTOR HOME. I DID THE TESTING RECOMMENDED BY OTHERS AND FIND THAT THE BRACKET FLEXES A LARGE AMOUNT WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AND BACK. THE COACH WAS BUILT BY WESTERN RV OF UNION GAP, WA AND WAS BOUGHT OUT BY MONOMOY INC OF NEW YORK. I HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY RECALL AS OF YET. *TR
THE STEERING BOX ON MY 2006 ALPINE APEX COACH FLEXES WHEN THE STEERING MECHANISM IS MOVED. AS PER MY FRAME AND AXLE SHOP, THIS IS NOT NORMAL AND IS A PENDING SAFETY HAZARD. WHEN USING THE STEERING THE STEEL BRACKETING CONNECTING POWER STEERING GEAR TO THE VEHICLE'S FRAME BENDS A LOT. HAPPENS WHENEVER VEHICLE IS OPERATED. NO CORRECTION HAS BEEN MADE AT THIS TIME. *TR
