Defect: Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2009-2024 dry van trailers equipped with a rail-style lift gate. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. The location of the rear impact guard is too far forward from the rear of the trailer, reducing impact protection. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal...

Consequence: In the event of a rear impact crash, the rear impact guard may not sufficiently protect light duty vehicles, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will add an extension to the rear impact guard, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 4, 2023. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404. Wabash's number for this recall is B23015.

Recall 21V588000 — FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:MOUNTING

Defect: Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Van Trailers. The fuel tank brackets may detach.

Consequence: Detached fuel tank brackets could allow the fuel tank to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will add an aluminum plate and 4 fasteners to each bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 18, 2021. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404. Wabash's number for this recall is B21012.

Recall 20V551000 — EQUIPMENT

Defect: Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Van trailers manufactured with flat bottom floors that are equipped with aerodynamic skirts. The aerodynamic skirts attached to the van trailers may come loose.

Consequence: If the aerodynamic skirt detaches while the trailer is moving it may increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Recall 18V808000 — STRUCTURE:BODY

Defect: Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Wabash National Van trailers equipped with limb deflectors. The limb deflectors installed on the upper rear corner of the trailers may detach while moving.

Consequence: If the limb deflectors detach, it can increase the risk of a crash.

WHILE DRIVING AND PULLING A TRAILER, THE VEHICLE WOULD GO SIX INCHES OVER TO THE RIGHT OF THE WHITE LINE ON THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TEC EQUIPMENT STOCKTON (LOCATED AT 2050 E LOUISE AVE, LATHROP, CA 95330, (209) 858-4110) WHERE A WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS COMPLETED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ALIGNMENT DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
