Consequence: A fractured steering gear shaft can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024 Volvo VNL and VNR trucks. A software programming error may cause the electronic stability control (ESC) to be inoperative.
Consequence: Driving with an inoperative electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.
