TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 VOLVO S60. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 38 MPH THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO SHIFT INTO FIFTH GEAR. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHENEVER PREMIUM GRADE FUEL WAS USED, THE ENGINE WOULD EXHIBIT LESS ENGINE POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE ADAPTIVE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM WAS RESET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT PROVIDE FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
