The contact stated while driving and making a U-turn the contact heard a loud grinding sound coming from the vehicle before the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact pushed the vehicle to the side of the road and inspected the vehicle and noticed the CV-shaft was separated from the transmission. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.
