MANUFACTURE DATE - 3/31/00. THE 5-POINT HARNESS STRAPS PROVIDED WITH THE CARSEAT ARE VERY THIN AND FLIMSY. I HAVE OFTEN FOUND THEM DIFFICULT TO BUCKLE AND TWIST EASILY (ESPECIALLY UNDER THE SOFT STRAP COVERS). I HAVE CONTACTED COSCO AND THEY SENT NEW STRAPS THAT WERE IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL ONES. I FEEL THAT BECAUSE THE STRAPS CAN TWIST SO EASILY, THEY ARE NOT AS EFFECTIVE IN AN ACCIDENT.
