TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 TOYOTA TUNDRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WOULD INDEPENDENTLY FUNCTION WITHOUT A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. ALSO, THE PRE-COLLISION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AVONDALE TOYOTA (1005 W PAPAGO FWY, AVONDALE, AZ) WAS CONTACTED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V122000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. AVONDALE TOYOTA WAS CONTACTED AGAIN AND REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE DUE TO ITS AGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT IS ON STATING THAT THE SYSTEM IS OFF IT WILL NOT FUNCTION
