The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that while working underneath the vehicle, he noticed a hole in the frame rail, passenger's side, rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was inspected under a Service Bulletin however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, the manufacturer confirmed that the vehicle was no longer under Warranty for the repair and a case was opened. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
2011 TOYOTA TACOMA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RUST HOLES IN FRAME. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR VEHICLES OF PREVIOUS YEARS. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE FRAME RECALL. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT FRAME WAS COMPLETELY FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THE RUNNING LIGHTS AREA DEVELOPED CRACKS AND A ROUND SHAPE CLOUDY AREA IN FRONT OF THE LIGHT BULB LIKE IT MELTING THE PLASTIC. *TR
WHILE PULLING MY TRUCK INTO THE GARAGE, I APPLIED THE BRAKE. I WAS SLOWING DOWN AND HEARD THE ACCELERATION TRACTION CONTROL TURN ON AND MY TRUCK LUNGED FORWARD ABOUT ONE TO TWO FEET. THE FRONT OF MY TRUCK HIT AGAINST SOME ITEMS IN MY GARAGE AND BROKE MY HEADLIGHT HOUSING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND SCRATCHED MY BUMPER. *TR
THERE IS A HIGH PITCHED WHINING NOISE FROM THE WINDSHIELD STARTING AT 72 MPH. THERE MUST BE A CROSS WIND. THE NOISE IS AT A PITCH SO HIGH THAT VEHICLE OPERATION IS DIFFICULT, AND AT BEST HIGHLY DISTRACTING TO SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE SPEED MUST BE REDUCED TO A SPEED THAT IS BELOW THE FLOW OF NORMAL TRAFFIC FLOW.

CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH FACTORY INSTALLED RUNNING BOARDS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE RUNNING BOARDS WERE TOO CLOSE TO THE BODY ALLOWING ONLY A SMALL PORTION OF ONES HEEL TO CONTACT THE BOARD WHEN EXITING THE TRUCK. IF THE BOARDS WERE WET, ONE COULD EASILY SLIP WHILE EXITING THE VEHICLE. ALSO, IF THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN UNEVEN SURFACE, IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR SOMEONE TO GET THEIR FOOT ON THE BOARD WHEN ENTERING FROM A SLOPING GRADE. *JB
