The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where the contact was informed that the corrosion was advanced, and the dealer would not perform a repair on the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 333,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CONTACTED THE STORE MANAGER AT HARBOR FREIGHT LOCATED AT 3970 W INA RD, TUCSON, AZ 85741 (520) 579-0225 WHERE THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE. THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH A SPARE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE, VIN, AND DOT NUMBER WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
