MY CAR IS A 1999 TOYOTA COROLLA LE. ON OCTOBER 27, 2005, THE SEAT BELT INDICATOR LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVER SEAT BELT APPEARED TO BE SECURELY FASTENED. IT HAS SINCE BEEN DOING THE SAME THING (NOW GOING ON 11 DAYS) AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE SEAT BELT. I DON'T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THE SEAT BELT WILL WORK PROPERLY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. ON NOVEMBER 4, 2005, I TOOK THE CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALER. I PAID $85 FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND WAS TOLD THAT THE LEFT FRONT SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY (PART# 73220 02030) NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED AND THAT I WILL NEED TO PAY $120.26 FOR THE PART PLUS ANOTHER $85 FOR LABOR. THE PART WILL BE ORDERED THIS WEEK AND INSTALLED AS SOON AS IT ARRIVES.
