STOP WITH TRAFFIC IN FRONT. CAR HITS ME INTO TRAFFIC FROM BE HIND VARY FAST DAMAGE TO FRONT AND BACK SWASHED MY CAR. AIR BAGS DID NOT GO OFF FOR A FAST HIT FRONT AND BACK ALL AT THE SAME BAG. THAT IS WHAT MAKING ME SCARED OF BEING IN THE CAR. *TR

FOR ABOUT A LITTLE OVER A YEAR NOW, THE DASHBOARD ON MY TOYOTA CAMRY HAS REACTED VERY ODDLY TO THE HEAT IT ENDURES. THE DASHBOARD LOOKS LIKE IT MELTS WHEN ITS HOT OUTSIDE THEN BECOMES VERY STICKY. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE. IF YOU TOUCH IT, IT FEELS LIKE GLUE. THE DASHBOARD GETS SO SLIMY THAT IF YOU ACTUALLY PUNCTURE IT WITH A FINGERNAIL, THE MATERIAL OF THE DASHBOARD GETS UNDER YOUR NAIL. I HAVE ONLY HAD MY VEHICLE FOR FOUR YEARS AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH TOYOTA. *TR
INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) ON 8/10/9 WE PURCHASED A NEW 2010 TOYOTA CAMRY LE, VIN [XXX]. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED AT LEAST TWO TIMES FOR TWO DEFECTS. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS: GAS PEDAL, FLOOR MAT, ELECTRONICS ETC. SINCE AUGUST WE HAVE ONLY DRIVEN THIS VEHICLE 4,200 MILES BECAUSE ARE AFRAID OF SUDDEN EXCEL RATION AND OTHER PHENOMENA THAT MIGHT OCCUR. MOREOVER, WE HAVE LOST A SUBSTANTIAL SUM ON THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THE PROBLEMS. WE HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN TOYOTA AND ITS DEALERSHIP. THEY LIE, MISLEAD, AND GIVE OUT WRONG INFORMATION. THERE IS A REAL SAFETY PROBLEM WITH TOYOTA AND ALL THEY DO IS DENY. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2010 TOYOTA CAMRY IN JULY 2009. I WAS RETURNING HOME FROM VISITING RELATIVES IN NJ. IN EARLY AUGUST. I WAS ON A STRETCH OF HIGHWAY LEADING INTO 290 WORCHESTER FROM THE MASS PIKE AUBURN,WHEN I ACCELERATED TO PASS A SEMI TRUCK AND THE ACCELERATOR STUCK. I REACHED A SPEED OF 85MPH, SO I PUNCHED THE PEDAL WITH MY FEET AND IT DISLODGED. I REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO THE PRIME TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN SACO,ME.'S SERVICE DEPT. IN NOV. WHEN I BROUGHT IN THE VEHICLE FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. THEY HAD ME REMOVE THE FLOOR MATS. I RECENTLY HAD THE RECALL REPAIR, SO FAR THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANOTHER INCIDENT, BUT I AM STILL LEERY ABOUT ACCELERATING QUICKLY AND HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO TEST PRESSING THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. *TR
I HAVE A 2010 TOYOTA CAMRY. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER 3X SINCE I PURCHASED IT DUE TO A WHINING SOUND WHICH APPEARED SHORTLY AFTER THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD EACH TIME THAT THERE WAS A NOISE BUT IT WASN'T UNUSUAL. 3 WEEKS AGO I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND I COMPLAINED OF THE SAME WHINING NOISE PROBLEM AND ASKED THEM TO DO THE "FIXES" ON THE CAR FOR THE TOYOTA ACCELERATING PROBLEMS. WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR I WAS TOLD THAT ALL CAMRYS HAVE THE SAME WHINING NOISE AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT WAS DONE, IF ANYTHING, TO THE PEDAL BUT I WAS TOLD TO PUT BACK IN THE SAME MAT WHICH HAD BEEN IN MY GARAGE. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL TOYOTAS IN THE...
INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) FROM:[XXX] SUBJECT:TOYOTA COMMENTS: I RECALL A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MILITARY AIRCRAFT, IN WHICH THE ENGINEERS (MYSELF INCLUDED), COULD NOT ISOLATE A SYSTEM ERROR. IT WAS REPEATEDLY FIXED WITH NO SUCCESS. THE PROBLEM FELL DOWN TO A FIRMWARE ERROR, ON WHICH THE SOFTWARE WAS RUNNING. THE FIRMWARE LOGIC CODE WAS A THIRD PARTY PROVISION TO THE SYSTEM, AND NONE OF THE ENGINEERS HAD REAL ACCESS TO THE LOGIC CIRCUITRY. THE FIRMWARE TESTED FINE, AND RAN THE TEST CODE AS WELL, WITH NO ERRORS. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE SYSTEM WAS FULLY OPERATIONAL, THAT THE SYSTEM THREW THE ERRORS. SINCE IT WAS THE FIRMWARE THAT THREW THE ERRORS, NONE OF THE SENSORS OR ANY OF THE SYSTEM LOGS CAUGHT THE PROBLEM. THE VENDOR OF THE FIRMWARE "ASSUMED" IT WAS ALWAYS THE USER CODE "THE OEM" THAT WAS AT FAULT, AND...
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING OUR NEWLY PURCHASED TOYOTA CAMRY SE WHEN SHE NOTICE THAT IT WAS ACCELERATING OUT CONTROL. WHEN SHE TLD ME ABOUT IT,I DISMISSED IT AS A RESULT OF HER HIGH HEELS AND THE COLD TEMPERATURES OF UPSTATE NY. ABOUT A MONTH LATER SAME HAPPEN TO ME AND I ENDED UP IN A POLE.
