The contact owns a 2021 Tiffin Allegro RV built on a 2020 Ford F-53 Chassis. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle experienced an unexpected transmission downshift to first gear and the rear wheels locked up, causing the vehicle to skid. The contact immediately shifted into neutral(N), and the vehicle stopped skidding. The contact then shifted to drive(D) and continued driving. The contact stated that after the failure, the vehicle started making an abnormal sound while driving. The vehicle was taken to the Ford dealer, where the axle bearings were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a second dealer, Hemborg Ford (1900 Hamner Ave, Norco, CA 92860), where it was determined that the rear third member needed to be replaced. Apparently, there is a recall on our Motorhome with this VIN, which we took delivery of on April 30, 2021 and we have not been notified as of this date. Ford Manufacturer Recall Number 21S17 NHTSA Recall Number21V202 Why were we not notified after all of this time?
