These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Recall 17V555000 — VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER

Defect: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Ace, Challenger, Daybreak, Hurricane, Miramar, Outlaw, Windsport, Palazzo, Tuscany, and Tuscany XTE motorhomes. The windshield wipers may fail due to the system being incorrectly installed or secured.

Consequence: If the windshield wipers cannot be used, driver visibility would be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

Recall 17V162000 — VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER

Defect: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2014-2015 ACE, Hurricane, Challenger, Daybreak, Miramar, Outlaw, and Windsport motorhomes. These vehicles have windshield wiper systems that may have been improperly installed and secured, possibly causing the wipers to fail during use.

Consequence: Failure of the windshield wipers may impair the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: TMC has notified owners, and dealers will inspect and tighten the wiper arm securing nuts, free of charge. The recall began on May 5, 2017. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867.

Recall 15V719000 — POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Defect: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Ace, Challenger, Hurricane, Miramar, Outlaw, and Windsport vehicles manufactured July 14, 2015, to October 16, 2015. Due to an incorrect shift cable bracket and an improper shift cable adjustment, the affected vehicles can be shifted out of 'PARK' without applying the brakes.

Consequence: If the vehicle can be shifted into reverse without the brakes being applied, the vehicle may unintentionally move, increasing the risk of a crash.

Windshield wipers keep getting stuck. Passenger side gets stuck down and Driver side get stuck up. We have to pull over on side the rode and fix them. It causes a visibility issue. It also causes a risk for accidents pulling over. I have contacted Thor this morning also. We are waiting on a response from them.

ON FEBRUARY 2ND 2020 AS I WAS TRAVELING ON I-75 SOUTH HEADING HOME FROM CINCINNATI THROUGH KENTUCKY AT ABOUT MILE MARKER 104 IN KENTUCKY WE HEARD A RATTLING NOISE AND A WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF MY VEHICLE SIMPLY FELL OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY. THANK GOODNESS NO ONE WAS NEXT TO ME OR THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND WALKED BACK TO WHERE THE WINDOW FELL OUT AND FOUND A COUPLE OF PIECES OF THE FRAME WHICH I KEPT. I DROVE TO EXIT 102 WHERE I PULLED OFF AND FOUND A PLACE TO PARK SO THAT I COULD TARP OVER THE WINDOW AND CONTINUE ON MY WAY HOME

WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD IN A HEAVY DOWN POOR, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE I TRIED TO RESECURE THEM BUT TO NO AVAIL. I EVENTUALLY GOT OUR RV TO A SERVICE FACILITY AND THE TECHNICAIN TOLD US THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THOR HAD A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. WE PURCHASED THIS 2016 MIRAMAR NEW BUT NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 THOR MIRAMAR RV WITH A 2015 FORD SUPER DUTY DRW F53 CHASSIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED TO OPERATE IN RAINY OR INCLEMENT WEATHER. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER AND WAIT FOR THE RAIN OR INCLEMENT WEATHER TO STOP. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO CAROLINA CAMPERS AND RV (1705 US-601 MOCKSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA 27028, (336) 753-0777) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS NOT REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED BY AN UNKNOWN DEALER, BUT THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR OVER THREE YEARS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT HE RECENTLY RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V162000 (VISIBILITY). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
