Defect: Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling various 2003-2018 recreational vehicles, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. See a list of the affected trailer models at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V758-5764.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach...
Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

TRAVELING 70 MPH ON INTERSTATE WHEN MOTORHOME COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. ENGINE DIED, NO POWER STEERING, NO POWER BRAKES, NO TURN SIGNALS, NO HAZARD LIGHTS. ONLY LUCKY TRAFFIC DIDN'T SLOW OR COME TO COMPLETE STOP BECAUSE IT TOOK EVERYTHING I HAD TO STEER TO ROADSIDE AND HAD HALF MILE TO STOP. TOWED TO CLOSEST SERVICE CENTER THAT DISCOVERED CHASSIS BATTERY DISCONNECT FAILED. RESEARCHED PROBLEM AND DISCOVERED MANY OTHERS HAD SAME PROBLEM. I LIVE IN COLORADO AND IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON MOUNTAIN PASS THE OUTCOME WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SAME!!! I SEARCHED RECALLS FOR MY VIN AND COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS NOT ON RECALL LIST.
