HAPPENS WHEN AIR TEMP IS 80+DEGREES OUT AND THE ENGINE HAS RECENTLY BEEN STARTED (<3MINS). IT USED TO NOT BE A PROBLEM AS ON HOT DAYS LEAVING WORK IT WOULD STALL EVERY ONCE AND A WHILE WHILE DRIVING OFF THE MILITARY BASE. HAVING SINCE MOVED TO FL IT IS STALLING REGULARLY ON A BUSY 45MPH FOUR LANE ROAD. IT USUALLY TAKES 10-15 SEC TO GET IT RUNNING AGAIN AS IT WILL STALL AGAIN WHILE STILL TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM THAT IS WRITTEN ABOUT ON THE FORUMS AND SUZUKI KNOWS ABOUT BUT WILL NOT FIX. BIKE ONLY HAS 7K MILES ON IT. MORE DETAIL: BIKE STARTS AND RIDES FINE UNTIL THE RIDER SHIFTS INTO FOURTH THEN THE MOTOR STRUGGLES TO FIND POWER (3500RPM) AND WHEN THE CLUTCH IS PULLED IN THE MOTOR STALLS. CONSUMER STATED HIS MOTORCYCLE HAS RECENTLY EXPERIENCED A SERIOUS LIFE THREATENING CONDITION OF 4TH GEAR ENGINE STALL CUT OFF AFTER LONG TERM (EIGHT PLUS HOURS) HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE EXPOSURE. *LN THE CONSUMER STATED HE TRIED TO RE-START THE MOTORCYCLE, BUT TO NO AVAIL. AFTER TURNING OFF THE IGNITION SWITCH, HE WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND IT FINALLY, BUT VERY RELUCTANTLY STARTED. HE PROCEEDED BACK ONTO THE HIGHWAY, ONLY TO EXPERIENCE THE ENGINE STALL, FOR SECOND TIME AS HE WAS SHIFTING THROUGH THE GEARS. WHEN THE CONSUMER ARRIVER HOME, HE WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM WITH THE MOTORCYCLE ON THE CENTER STAND, AS SHIFTING INTO 4TH GEAR, THE ENGINE WOULD STALL. THE CONSUMER RODE THE MOTORCYCLE TO THE DEALER IN 3RD AND DID NOT EXPERIENCING ANY STALLING ISSUES. A DIAGNOSIS REVEALED NO PROBLEMS WITH THE MOTORCYCLE AND THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY A SUZUKI FACTORY TECHNICIAN, THE BIKE WAS PERFORMING AS DESIGNED. DESPITE THE FACT, THAT A TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALER EXPERIENCED THE STALLING FIRST HAND.
