THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THE BIKE NEEDED A TUNE UP SO I DID A TUNE UP. SAME THING STARTED OCCURRING MORE OFTEN AFTER. THE PROBLEM LIES IN GOING LOW RPM AND LOW SPEEDS WHERE THE MOTORCYCLE SPITS AND SPUTTERS AND 3 OUT OR 5 TIMES IT CUTS OFF, LEAVING THE DRIVER WITH NO CONTROL OVER THE BIKE. THIS ISSUE HAS NOT RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT YET; BUT IS A DANGER NON THE LESS. I HAVE SINCE TAKEN IT TO TWO DIFFERENT MOTORCYCLE SHOPS AND THEY HAVE YET TO DETERMINE WHAT THE ISSUE IS. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE RIDING THIS MOTORCYCLE IN THIS CONDITION AS IT COULD CUT OFF AND LOOSE CONTROL AND CRASH, WHICH COULD RESULT IN BODILY INJURY. THE SECOND SHOP THAT STILL HAS THE BIKE IS GETTING A SUZUKI REPRESENTATIVE TO COME AND LOOK AT IT SINCE THE AUTHORIZED SUZUKI SHOP HAS NO CLUE IN WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE MOTORCYCLE. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE FIRST ISSUE OF THIS KIND WHERE THESE EXPERTS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHY THIS MOTORCYCLE IS DOING THIS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT ALL THE COMPONENTS THAT HAVE BEEN CHECK ARE WELL WITHIN TOLERANCES AS SET FORTH BY THE MANUFACTURE. THE MOTORCYCLE IS STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE EXHAUST, WHICH WAS THE WAY I BOUGHT IT. I HAD A POWER COMMANDER INSTALLED BUT THE" ISSUE" WAS WITH IT ON OR OFF. I WANTED TO POST THIS TO INFORM ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS THIS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR OF BIKE TO TAKE HEED AND BE SAFE IF THIS SITUATION STARTS AFFECTING THEM AS IT HAS ME. SO FAR I HAVE SPENT WAY TOO MUCH MONEY IN TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED, BUT I WOULD RATHER RIDE A SAFE BIKE INSTEAD OF A NON-SAFE BIKE. CURRENT MILEAGE NOW IS 50,000.. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUZUKI C50 BOULEVARD MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 5 MPH AND OBSERVED A NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR WHEELS. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO WOBBLE EXCESSIVELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE WHEELS WAS TOO LIGHT FOR THE MOTORCYCLE AND THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE HUB ASSEMBLY AND WHEEL BEARINGS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE WHO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 SUZUKI C50T MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED HE WAS DRIVING 45 MPH WHEN AN UNKNOWN PART FRACTURED FROM THE VEHICLE, IN WHICH HE BELIEVED WAS RELATED TO THE SUSPENSION. HE CONTINUED DRIVING AND AS HE WAS EXITING AN OFF RAMP, THE VEHICLE BEGAN PULLING TO THE LEFT ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH AND COULD NOT RECALL THE EVENTS OF THE CRASH OTHER THAN BEING TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED FOUR BROKEN RIBS, A COLLAPSED LUNG AND A SEPARATED AC JOINT TO THE SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN POSSESSION BY THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000. UPDATED 11/15/10 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE RIDING THE BIKE, A LOUD SOUND WAS HEARD AS IF SOMETHING HAD BROKE OFF THE MOTORCYCLE. SHORTLY AFTER, AS THE CONSUMER TRIED TO EXIT OFF THE HIGHWAY, THE MOTORCYCLE DIDN'T WANT TO TURN AND PULLED TO THE LEFT AND CONSEQUENTLY, THE CRASHED. UPDATED 11/24/10
