2007 RAM 3500 Exterior Lighting Problems

Steering components broke when turning the truck around, this happened 30 miles up a Forest service rd. while out sightseeing. Had to be towed a long way ($1200) for the towing. and the steering repair for $1150.00, if this would have happened at speed when we were towing our camper it would have been terrible. This truck has no off-road usage other than for snow. Head light low beam on the drivers side stopped working, traced the wire back to the TIPM and there is no power coming out for this wire. Reading up on this issue it seems to be a very standard problem in 2006 and above trucks. This should be a recall item as it can cause serious problems when driving at night or in bad weather.
