The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated the display screen was blank. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System). The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were on back order. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.
Driving while pulling a trailer using the towing package included on u-connect. When applying pressure to the brake pedal the trailer brakes locked up and the driver had trouble maintaing control of the truck. The turn signal and brake lights on the trailer do not work while hooked up the wiring harness.
