Defect: ON CERTAIN CONVERSION VANS BUILT ON GMC EXPRESS AND FORD E-150 CHASSIS WITH A GLUE-ON ONLY STYLE RAISED ROOF, IF THE GLUE WERE TO COMPLETELY RELEASE, THE RAISED ROOF CAN COME OFF.
Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL ALUMINUM TRIM WITH SCREWS TO KEEP THE ROOF FROM LOOSENING. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING JANUARY OR FEBRUARY 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT QUALITY AT 1-800-373-6357.
