The contact owns a 2021 Quality Cargo Box Trailer. The contact stated that the trailer was being hauled by a 1998 Dodge Ram and while driving 40 MPH, sparks were seen coming from the rear of the vehicle. After stopping and inspecting the trailer it was discovered that the front connecting tongue of the box trailer had collapsed and was striking the road surface causing the sparks and rendering the trailer inoperable. The trailer was later towed to a repair facility who replaced and welded the front beams of the trailer. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000.
