Recall 06V214000 — STEERING:GEAR BOX:SHAFT PITMAN

Defect: ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH FRONT INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION, TWO SPINDLE SHAFTS WERE IMPROPERLY PROCESSED DURING MANUFACTURING WHICH WEAKENED THE SHAFTS.
Consequence: THE SHAFTS CAN BREAK CAUSING A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TWO SPINDLE SHAFTS AND SURROUNDING PARTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 12, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT PREVOST AT 418-831-5432.
