The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the Adaptive Cruise Control activated without other vehicles or objects nearby, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated. Within seconds, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking briefly applied the brakes, jolting the vehicle slightly but not bringing it to a complete stop. Afterward, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was illuminated.
