The contact owns 2024 Peterbilt 567. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was driving to the dealer to be diagnosed and it was determined that the fuel tank was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was attempted to be notified; however, the manufacturer was no longer in business. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
Right side transmission stalk failed. Truck shut down and was only able to get partially out of 4 lane highway. Truck had to be towed as it would not reset/clear. Dealer replaced transmission stalk. Despite there being a safety recall for these devices (24v-190), and this truck meeting all requirements to be included in the recall, Peterbilt says it is not included and is currently offering no cost covered repair.
