THE MAJOR COMPLAINT I HAVE WITH THIS AUTOMOBILE IS THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE LIGHTS CONSTANTLY FLARE AND FLICKER AS IF THEY ARE SHORTING OUT. GM HAS CLAIMED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ALTERNATOR AND AFTER A SUBSTANTIAL WAIT FOR A REMEDY THAT BEING A REDISIGNED ALTERNATOR GM STILL HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE LIGHTS HAVE FLICKERED ON AND OFF SINCE THE AUTO WAS PURCHASED. THE MECHANICS AT MY DEALERSHIP HAVE TRIED BUT FAILED TO FIND THE PROBLEM . THE ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE ONE BY THE DEALER IN DESPERATION AND AGAIN WHEN THE NEWLY REDESIGNED FROM GM ARRIVED AFTER NEARLY 6 MONTHS FROM THE ORIGINAL PROMISE OF A FIX CAME IN .MY GREATEST FEAR IS THAT THE COMPUTER IN THIS CAR WILL FAIL WITH ALL THE POWER SURGES BEING PUT THROUGH THE ELECTRICAL SYTEM. WHEN DRIVING AND UPON USING THE HEADLIGHTS, RADIO GETS VERY HOT TO THE POINT THAT ONE CAN'T TOUCH IT. ALSO, NOT A CHANGE WITHIN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. RADIO REPLACED, BUT PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURRING. *AK *ML
