IN 2017 AT 60,062 MILES THE TAIL PIPE CORRODED FELL OFF. A REPAIR WAS MADE AT THE EAU CLAIRE NISSAN DEALERSHIP WERE THE CUT AND CLAMPED IT BACK TOGETHER. AGAIN AS I WRITE THIS THE TAIL PIPE HAS CORRODED AND FELL OFF. I HAVE SPOKE WITH THE DEALERSHIP IN EAU CLAIRE AS WELL AS NISSAN NORTH AMERICA. CASE # 41900823. SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE FILING A DEALERSHIP COMPLAINT BUT REAL ISSUE FALLS ON NISSAN FOR BUILDING AN INFERIOR VEHICLE. A SAFETY THREAT IS POSED WHEN THE RUSTED EXHAUST COMPONENTS FALL OFF AND BECOME ROAD HAZARDS. ADDITIONALLY, IF THE BROKEN TAILPIPE DOESN'T CLEAR THE VEHICLE IT COULD GET CAUGHT CAUSING DAMAGE TO OTHER VITAL COMPONENTS LIKE BRAKE LINES AND/TIRES IF IT HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I THINK THE EARLY FAILURE OF THE TAILPIPE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BECAUSE NOT ONLY DOES IT POSE A SAFETY THREAT, I HAVE READ THIS IS AN ISSUE AND NISAN SHOULD NOT BE PASSING THE COMPLAINTS TO ITS DEALERSHIP WHEN THIS IS A DESIGN AND/OR QUALITY OF MATERIALS USED ISSUE.
