While driving, I noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle. Within moments, flames appeared in the engine area and spread quickly, causing severe damage to the front portion of the car including the engine, electrical system, and body. No warning lamps, error messages, or unusual behavior were observed prior to the incident. The fire started suddenly without any indication of mechanical or electrical issues. My safety and the safety of others nearby were put at risk as the fire escalated rapidly. The problem has not been reproduced or inspected by the manufacturer or dealer yet, but the vehicle was completely disabled and is no longer operable due to the fire damage. Cause of the fire is UNKNOWN at this time.

While I’m driving it starts to stall. Especially after I press on the breaks and try to press on the gas again it being ins to like jerk and not want to go. I thought it was my suspension or that it needed a wheel alignment but after paying for those to get renewed it’s still having that problem and the mechanic said it was most likely the transmission.
Transmission failure in under 3 years. I replaced my transmission and rear assembly in 2022-23. It started with pressing the gas pedal and the car wouldn’t accelerate while in heavy traffic. I spent over $3,000 on a brand new engine. Come 2024 the exact same problem with the repair price being quoted at around $7,000. There was no hard driving on the car so I don’t understand how it’s going so soon. I’ve never had so much trouble with a car.
I've looked up the years of my vehicle and the year 2014 falls within transmission problems. Cvt to be exact. My transmission just went out and zero chance of fixing. $5000 minimum. Cut has been known to have faults
Entire car needs repairs problems with starting
Car slips and jerks when accelerating at any speed as low as 10 mph. Check engine light came on, code is transmission failure. The code came on before routine maintenance was required. The car was not fixed and should have not had this issue happen.
My Nissan Sentra burst into flames on July 27,2022-not sure why this occurred; the car was last serviced before this incident on June 17, 2022-the car's Compressor/AC were replaced. I had just parked the car at a hotel when the fire began. The only inspection was from a fire marshal and the insurance company that car was a complete loss. There was no warning when this happened and had I had a full tank of gasoline this would have gravely injured me. The car had seven years of meticulous upkeep so this catastrophe was totally unexpected. The autos parked on either side of me suffered serious damage as well.

The transmission in my car kept slipping. I would press the gas to try and get the car to accelerate but it would not. The RPM’s kept jumping back and forth causing the car to stutter. After letting it sit for a while it stuttered all the way home. After making it back my check engine light came on and the car would no longer move.
FUEL PUMP FAILURE AT 75K MILES. RESULTED IN VEHICLE SPUTTERING, THEN STALLING, DASHBOARD LIGHTS GOING OUT AND THEN TURNING BACK ON WITH MORE THAN HALF A TANK DIFFERENCE IN THE FUEL READING, AND THEN RAN OUT OF GAS ENTIRELY. BROUGHT TO DEALERSHIP WHO DENIED THERE BEING AN OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE EVER, WHICH IS INCORRECT AS I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FROM A RECALL. THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY UNSTABLE AND IS NOW ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS HOLDING BRAKE FLUID. CAN'T FILL TANK AT THE GAS STATION EITHER BECAUSE REFUELING STOPS IMMEDIATELY EVERY TWO SECONDS AFTER TURNING ON EVEN IF YOU PHYSICALLY HOLD IT THERE... YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE TO CLICK IT BACK ON BECAUSE THE FUEL IS NOT ACCEPTED BY THE VEHICLE. THIS CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED ENTIRELY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
WE WERE DRIVING AND WOULD LOSE POWER THEN GOING UP HILL IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING POPPED OFF. WE WOULDN'T EVEN ROLL IN NEUTRAL. IT LOCKED COMPLETELY UP AND HAD TO PUSH IT TO BREAK IT FREE. OUR MACHANIC CHECKED THE FLUID AND SAID IT WAS DARK DARK.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH A CODE P0101. I HAD MAF SENSOR REPLACED WITH NISSAN PART AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. NOW I AM GETTING A READING FOR LOW VOLTAGE FOR THE MAF SENSOR. AFTER RESEARCHING, I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. I NOW HAVE TO TAKE CAR IN TO HAVE ELECTRICAL WIRING AND COMPUTER CHECKED BECAUSE THERE IS SOME PROBLEM WITH THE CAR'S COMPUTER COMMUNICATING WITH MAF SENSOR.SECONDARY PROBLEM IS NOW THE TRACTION LIGHT RANDOMLY KEEPS ILLUMINATING AND CAR LOSES ACCELERATION FROM TIME TO TIME. CAR ONLY HAS 51,000 MILES ON IT.

PLEASE REFERENCE NHTSA ISSUE 11383950 SUBMITTED DEC 17, 2020. THIS IS ANOTHER ISSUE RELATED TO THE PRIOR SUBMITTED DEC 17TH. ON DEC 26 THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER ASKED IF WE HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY, WHICH WE DO NOT, AND THEN TOOK THE CAR IN FOR INSPECTION. THAT SAME DAY WE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION (SCREENSHOTS ATTACHED) THAT CVT ASSEMPLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED (EST $3800). AFTER LOOKING FURTHER ONLINE, THERE ARE VARIOUS COMPLAINTS AND RECALLS REGARDING THIS KNOWN ISSUE. WE WERE NOT INCLUDED IN RECALLS REGARDING CVT TRANSMISSION KNOWN ISSUES. PLEASE HELP GETTING THIS RESOLVED TO OUR SATISFACTION.

SHUTTERING, UNEXPECTED POWER SURGES, HESITATION, STALLING, AND OF COURSE LOTS OF BAD NOISES IN GENERAL. I FOUND NUMEROUS NISSAN TRANSMISSION LAWSUITS FILLED REGARDING 2014 SENTRA PRONE TO SHAKING, JERKING, SUDDEN DOWNSHIFTS. ON MY WAY TO WORK THIS MORNING DECEMBER 2019 MY CAR GOING AT AROUND 50 MPH STOP RESPONDING TO THE GAS PEDAL AND I HAD TO QUICKLY PULL OVER IN A STRIP MALL SO I WOULD NOT BE HIT OR CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. AS I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT, MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA STARTED TO EXPERIENCE SUDDEN JERKINESS AND ISSUES WITH RPM'S, ACCELERATION PROBLEMS AS WELL AS AN UNWILLINGNESS TO CHANGE GEARS. (THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC). AS I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE, NISSAN HAS ISSUED A RECALL / EXTENDED WARRANTY 7YEAR 100,000 MILE FOR NISSANS THAT HAVE THE CVT TRANSMISSION HOWEVER NOT ALL 2014 NISSAN SENTRA'S WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION WERE INCLUDED.

I CALLED MY MECHANIC, HE SAID IT COULD BE CONTAMINATED GAS, AND DIRECTED ME TO FIND A NEARBY AUTOZONE, WHERE AN EMPLOYEE SCANNED THE CAR AND AGREED IT WAS CONTAMINATED GAS. I PURCHASED SEAFOAM AND PUT IT IN THE GAS TANK, WITH ASSURANCES THAT THIS WOULD CLEAR UP THE ISSUE BUT THE RIDE MAY BE 'BUMPY'. I DECIDED TO FINISH MY DRIVE TO NEW ORLEANS. UPON ENTERING NEW ORLEANS AND SHIFTING TO STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, IT WAS APPARANT THE ISSUE HAD NOT RESOLVED ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS BARELY ACCELERATING OR...
ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA HAS STALLED AND STARTED ON ITS OWN. I NOTICED THAT THE RPM GAGE WILL LOOK JUMPY THEN IT FEELS AS THE CAR IS SHAKING THEN IT STALLS AND WITHIN 5 MINUTES IT TURNS BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN AT STOP LIGHT IN TRAFFIC AND WHILE IN THE DROVE THRU IT FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. MY CONCERNS IS IM ALWAYS DRIVING WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR AND WHAT IF THIS OCCURS WHEN IN A SITUATION THAT CAN PUT MY CHILDREN AND SELF IN DANGER.
I BOUGHT A 2014 NISSAN SENTRA ABOUT 2= MONTHS AGO THEY SAID THAT THE CVT AND TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND THEY WILL NOT REPAIR IT AND THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS AND RECALLS ON THIS MATTER. I STILL OWE 12000 ON THIS CAR AND I AM NOT PAYING 6000 OR SOMETHING I DIDN'T CAUSE. I AM PAYING FOR A CAR THAT I CANT DRIVE.
THE ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON/OFF FOR OVER A YEAR. I HAVE HAD IT "FIX" . CODE KEPT SAYING MASSAIR SENSOR. LAST WEEK I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AND THEY PUT ON AN UPDATED CLIP. AND TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAILING . SO I DID RESEARCH AND LEARNED THAT SOME CARS HAVE RECALLS ON THIS AND WOULD BE COVERED TIL 120,000 MILES . THEY SAID MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED. IF THIS IS AN UNIVERSAL ISSUES WHY IS IT NOT COVERED .
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED, NEEDED REPLACED AFTER 95,000 MILES. THE CAR STARTED SHIFTING HARD FROM A STOP AND BETWEEN GEARS. FOUR DIFFERENT MECHANICS, INCLUDED A NISSAN TECHNICIAN, ALL AGREED THAT IT WAS A BAD CVT TRANSMISSION. NISSAN TECHNICIAN LOOKED UP EXTENDED WARRANTY, WHICH WAS OFFERED ON 2007-2010 MODELS, BUT HAS NOT YET BEEN EXTENDED TO NEWER MODELS AND THEREFORE COULD NOT BE APPLIED TO MY CAR. I JUST SPENT $3800 TO GET THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED ON A 3 1/2 YEAR OLD CAR.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE RIGHT, IT SHIFTS, IT "LULLS" IT HESITATES, I HAVE AN ISSUE TRYING TO ACCELERATE FAST ENOUGH AT STOP LIGHTS AND DRIVING ON THE MERGE RAMPS FROM THE HIGHWAY I DRIVE EVERYDAY TO WORK. AT TIMES IT FEELS LIKE AS SHIFTING GEARS, IT QUICKLY SHIFTS TO ANOTHER GEAR OR LIKE I MENTIONED ABOVE, THERE IS A ""HESITATION" BETWEEN SHIFT GEARS.
