TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 NISSAN LONG BED (NA). WHILE AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR REPAIRS, THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WAS CORRODED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED DUE TO THE EXTENT OF THE CORROSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,000.
THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM FROM DAY ONE BECAUSE OF CALIPERS FREEZING DUE TO RUST. DURING INSPECTION FRAME WAS WITNESSED TO BE BADLY RUSTED NEEDING CONSTANT CARE. GAS TANK HAS RUSTED THOU AT THE TOP & NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER FAILED AT 32103 MILES AND NEEDED AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. IT NEEDED THIS REPAIR AT THE MOMENT IT LEFT THE DEALER REPAIR SHOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE BEING REPAIRED FOR THE SECOND TIME, (WORKED GOING IN NOTICED THAT SPEEDOMETER STOPPED UPON LEAVING). DEALER SAID IT WAS JUST A COINCIDENCE! THIS VEHICLE HAD/HAS HAD SINCE THE BEGINNING 1997 - PRESENT 2014 THE BEST OF TL-CARE. NISSAN IS CRIMINAL IN DEALING & BEING UNHELPFUL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS AND EXPECT THE OWNERS TO BARE THE EXPENSE OF REPAIRS WHICH IS REALLY CAUSED BY NISSAN MANUFACTURING PARTS & FRAMES WITH POOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION AND INFERIOR MATERIALS THAT...
