Vehicle does not recognize that the brake pedal is being depressed when trying to start the car. Pushing the start button only cycles the ignition through the on and acc options. The only way to start the vehicle is to use the remote start function on the FOB. Additionally, the vehicle experiences and displays a BCI malfunction, AEB braking warning, and traction control indicator light is now on. These errors occur while using both key FOBs even after replacing the FOB batteries. There is a Nissan Service Bulletin for replacing the brake light switch for multiple Nissan vehicles.

BCI MALFUNCTION EARRING, SHOWS ON THE DASHBOARD. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED SINCE JANUARY, THE ENTIRE SYSTEM SHUTS OFF, PRE COLLISION, BACK UP WARNING, CRUISE CONTROL, AND SONAR SYSTEM, ALL GOES OFF. MOREOVER, THE CAR WOULD NOT START, HAVE TO PUSH THE BRAKES 3 TO 6 TIME IN ORDER TO TURN THE CAR ON. MORE TO THAT, FEW TIME THE GEAR SEEMED TO BE STUCK ON PARK AND WOULDN'T SWITCH TO D OR R.
