The check engine light came on, with code P052E indicating a positive crankcase ventilation valve failure. Dealer inspection revealed the PCV valve is sticking and recommended a replacement with a $2100 charge. This is a widely experienced problem with this engine in many Mercedes vehicles, suggesting that the cause is a manufacturer defect.
THE STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT, ABS BRAKES, COLLISION ASSIST CAME ON THEN AS I PULLED ONTO THE INTERSTATE THE CAR STARTED BUCKING LOST ACCELERATION AND I HAD AN 18 WHEELER RUNNING UP MY REAR TRYING TO BRAKE. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I AM FAMILIAR WITH WHEEL SENSOR FAILURES HOW THIS VEHICLE REACTS IS SERIOUSLY A DANGER HAZARD AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. THIS IS MY 3RD WHEEL SENSOR ON THIS VEHICLE IN 8 MONTHS.
