I am reporting a serious vehicle safety hazard caused by improper and unsafe repair work performed by USA Platinum Motor, located at 1221 California Lane #126B, Arlington, TX. I brought my 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 in for a cold start rattle with no warning lights or prior issues. The shop diagnosed a loose timing chain and I authorized the repair. After the repairs, the vehicle was returned with critical safety defects, including a loose fuel pump, unsecured fuel line, missing bolts, and improperly reassembled engine components. Shortly after pickup, the car experienced loss of acceleration on the interstate, a strong odor of fuel, and a sudden loss of power, creating a dangerous and life-threatening situation. The vehicle had to be towed back to the shop. The manager, who is not a certified mechanic, admitted he personally “fixed” the issue by tightening the fuel pump himself. A Mercedes-Benz diagnostic inspection later confirmed...

my whole entire car smells like gas. I cannot drive this car around because I will pass out and it is a safety hazard. There is a recall for this exact same issue, just not for my Vin number. I would like to get this done for my car, please.

Keep getting a code P052E! Changed the oil and code went away for a few days then came back. Looked into getting it fixed and it seems like Mercedes has known about this issue and hasn’t called for a recall on this piece of equipment! Very costly to fix and says it needs to be replaced every 30k to 50k miles! At around 1k to 3k to fix everytime that’s something they should recall

After doing research this is a common problem in the m274 engine from 2015-2018 which Mercedes is aware of but does nothing. mercedes need to be held responsible and a recall issued. This isn't a 2 or 3 thousand dollar repair!! this repair is 6 figures!!! Please hold them acountable!!! THX

Check engine light on. Test results: Positive Crankcase Ventilation Regulator Valve Performance CODE : P052E
#11601009 |
Car check engine light came on with only 62,000 miles. Diagnosed as code P052E, the issue is the positive crankcase ventilation valve being faulty. Regular oil changes and maintenance was done. I see multiple complaints with this issue, why is this not recalled? It is very expensive to have fixed.

My engine light keeps coming on and off on my 2017 C300 4matic coupe. I got the problem diagnosed in March 2023. Benz said I had a faulty solenoid valve and that I would need to replace the crank case ventilation assembly. That is $3000. My friend has a C300 sedan and they replaced his under the extended warranty that came out on August 2023 for the crankcase. I have the same exact issue but they said my VIN doesn’t populate so they cannot do anything. This is the 2nd faulty crank case in my car, it was replaced by warranty in 2019. I don’t drive that much I have 47K miles on the car. They refuse to cover the faulty part.

The contact owns a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that while at a stop light the vehicle stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery cable needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that an update to the powertrain software was needed, and the transmission pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The contact called the local dealer, and it was recommended that the transmission be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Check engine light on on 2017 Mercedes C300 4 Matic. Car has 52,000 miles on it. The code P052E71 was diagnosed by Mercedes mechanic as the valve for the crankcase ventilation. The actuator was blocked. Mechanic said part (crankcase ventilation hose) is not available and this problem happens to all 2015-2017 C 300 models usually around 50,000 miles. When air conditioning or heat is run it causes an odor of burning fuel or oil in the cabin. Mercedes said part is not in stock and they have no ETA on when it will be available. Vehicle is unable to pass vehicle emissions test.

The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

Check engine light came on. Error code indicates a PCV crankcase ventilation valve has malfunctioned. Code is P052E. This is a notorious problem with Mercedes, BMW and other European cars. It should also be considered part of the emissions system. Contacting the MB dealers, I cannot get a clear definition whether it is covered by extended warranties or any warranty whatsoever. They are vague as to "maybe, but not sure". I feel that there should be a recall to fix the defective parts involved with this error code.

I took my vehicle to the mechanic due to the check engine light been on. The diagnostic came back to be that "The valve for crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. The actuator is blocked." As per mechanic this has to be replace but cost around $ 2,000 plus.

P520E code which is caused by a crankcase ventilation issue. The fix costs upwards of $2000. It seems to be a common issue with Mercedes vehicles with 4 cylinder turbos and should be a recall on this system.

Piston one issue. I bought this car from an auction and according to the record on the car the previous owner had problem with piston one and low compression in that piston. After performing some research it looks like Mercedes’ Benz c300 m274 is riddles with this issue. It’s all over the internet and I don’t know why Mercedes is not taking responsibity for this. This car has less than 70000 miles and the engine is locked from the cylinder. Thank you

I recently had to repair a part of my engine with the code P052E. It specifically was "The Valve for Crankcase Ventilation. It stated it was malfunctioned and that the actuator is blocked. It could have caused my engine to fail and my car to stop at any moment putting myself and others at risk. There is a large amounts of consumers with the same vehicle that complained about the same issue. It was inspected by the Mercedes Benz dealership. The only warning was that my check engine light was on.

Code P052E costing me over $2500 to repair. I’m not the only one dealing with this problem and my car only has 58k miles and it’s a 2017. Should be recalled considering the part being defective.

Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Can cause problem to the engine. Check engine light is on, car have been scanned. This happen one week ago. There’s no recall for this and happen a lot many Mercedes Benz causing problems on engine and is not on warranty or any other recalls
#11510714 |
my 2017 Mercedes C300 experienced what appears to be a very common engine fault with the W205 engine. It involves the "PCV" valve and the engine code fault is P052E. When this fault occurs the engine will stall and sputter. My wife and daughter were in my car last week and it stalled at an intersection which could have resulted in an accident, but luckily the school crossing guards were there to stop traffic and allow her to restart the car and get to the side of the road. The check engine light had previously been on and off for sometime so I had my local Mavis check what the light was on for and they gave me the fault code. I did not think it was anything that serious because the car ran fine. The car was towed today to Mercedes to officially diagnosis the problem

I have a mercedes c300 2017 and recently I was driving my car and the check engine light came on all of a sudden so I took it to my local shop to diagnose it they told me it was the PCV valve, so I called mercedes and they’re telling me that this is not covered and of course my warranty is no longer covered I have about 63k miles on the car. Mercedes is saying they don’t have a recall for this but I’ve googled around and multiple people are saying the same issue happened to them around the 55-65k range. It’s super frustrating that this doesn’t flag a recall.

Engine code P052E - PCV REGULATOR VALVE PERFORMANCE. Common faulty Mercedes Benz part integral to the car. Just took in the car to MBSeattle.

In my family we have 2 mercedes benz cars one 2017GLC300 and other 2017 C300 4matic and both of the cars have the same issues. Check engine with code P052E. And after talking to friends and mechanics it appears that this issues to be almost on every mercedes car of this engine since both of the cars that are in my family have the same engine components. I request that it should be recall so mercedes benz will repair those issues under warranty. Thank you

I purchased my 2017 C300 class Mercedes-Benz ("MB") in May 2021 from a used car dealership in Mobile, AL. At that time it had 36,000 miles. Less than 2 years later, on or about 12/15/22, as I was driving, the MB suddenly and without warning began to vibrate violently and immediately lost power. The car had @54,000 miles on it. I routinely drive interstate to and from work and had just gotten off of the interstate. I was lucky that I was driving at a low speed when this happened; otherwise, a serious accident could have resulted. I took it to the local MB dealership which told me that the car failed a compression test in the #1 cylinder and that the engine would have to be replaced. Subsequent research on the cause of this total engine failure with low mileage revealed that this engine has a chronic piston defect...

Hey good morning. There’s been a been a system failure. P052E Positive Crankcase Ventilation Regulator Valve Performance. Warning message I got was the engine light showed
#11499457 |
My car suddenly turned off at a stop sign. After I restarted it, it turned back on and my engine light turned on. I called the dealership and after inspection I was told that the valve for my crankcase was malfunctioning. The total cost, including both parts and labor are $1775. I have seen many complaints regarding this issue with the same vehicle. It is apparent that a recall should’ve been issued for this months ago. It is truly a safety issue when the car turns off at a stop sign or a ramp. I could’ve been hit while my car was stalling on a ramp exiting major highway. I implore you to rectify this issue immediately before someone gets hurt.

Crankcase ventilation valve failure.
#11497145 |
Most M274 engines have P06DA00 fault code internally. Harness for oil pressure regulating solenoid valve is short/open inside the engine oil pan. It can cause excessive oil pressure and premature oil pump failure. As the broken wire is sunken in the engine oil, I worry if it can cause fire. If the oil pump fair during driving prematurely, engine can be stalled. Mercedes-Benz knew the issue but they decided to ignore it.

Crankcase Breather System: Vent Valve Fault code stored for block crankcase breather valve. The fault code is 052E71. A lot of Mercedes cars are reporting it online and no recall has been made. The labor to change this takes around 8-9 hours and the part costs 300. Company is doing nothing about it as a lot of W205 engines are having this issue
