CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A PUBLIC ROAD WITH THE STEERING WHILE SLIGHTLY TURNED WHEN THE BACK END GAVE OUT AND DANGEROUSLY FISHTAILED OVER ALL LANES OF THE ROAD. VEHICLE'S TOE CONTROL LINK FAILED AT 50MPH CAUSED THIS. CONSIDERING THIS IS A SAFETY CRITICAL OEM PART THAT WAS NEVER ALTERED OR CHANGED, AND THE VEHICLE WAS WELL BELOW LIFE EXPECTANCY (107,000 AT TIME OF INCIDENT), THIS SITUATION WAS RARE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS HAD THE OPERATOR NOT REGAINED CONTROL. ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT MAZDA TO SEE IF THIS HAS EVER BEEN REPORTED OR RECALLED WERE UNSUCCESSFUL.
