The contact owns a 2018 Maserati Levante. The contact stated that after parking and occupying the vehicle at her residence inside her garage, the contact noticed smoke and a ball of fire coming from the cup holder console. The contact called 911. The contact stated she did not sustain any injuries. No medical attention was required. The contact stated that a fire report was filed, and the fire department was able to extinguish the fire. No police report was filed. The contact was relating her failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V046000 (SEATS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall.
