Defect: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS. THE STEERING GEAR FASTENERS WERE INCORRECTLY TIGHTENED AND CAN WORK LOOSE.
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REMOVE, DEGREASE, AND RETORQUE STEERING GEAR MOUNTING BOLTS.
