Defect: POWER STEERING PUMPS MAY HAVE A RIDGE INSIDE THE ALUMINUM HOUSING WHICH COULD DETACH ITSELF FROM THE HOUSING AND BECOME WEDGED INSIDE THE RELIEF VALVE, KEEPING IT OPEN.
Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN SUDDEN LOSS OF ASSISTANCE TO THESTEERING WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: REPLACE POWER STEERING PUMP.
