The contact owns a 2017 Lincoln Continental. The contact stated while reversing, the rear-view camera display was foggy or displayed a distorted image. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, and it was confirmed that the rear-view camera was defective. The vehicle was not repaired due to the parts not being available. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V644000 (Back Over Prevention) as a possible solution however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer opened a Customer Satisfaction case with the contact and stated the vehicle would be repaired under NHTSA Campaign number: 22V644000 (Back Over Prevention) when the parts became available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The approximate failure mileage was 38,504.
