Description of Incident: This is a recurring safety defect that has occurred multiple times from August 2023 to February 2026. The following description refers to the most severe incidents: 1. NATURE OF DEFECT: The vehicle experienced a sudden "Limp Mode" event where all dashboard warning lights illuminated simultaneously, followed by an immediate loss of propulsion while in motion. Subsequently, the vehicle suffered from a dangerous 3-second acceleration lag/delay. This 2023 Lexus LX 600 creates a life-threatening risk on public highways, as the driver cannot reliably control the vehicle's speed or power to avoid collisions. 2. MANUFACTURER’S ADMISSION: The vehicle has been presented to authorized Lexus dealerships. my problem occurs intermittenly, it occurs when i am idling at a stop. when i have to accelerate from the stop the car will lurch forward and die for approximately 3 seconds. It will then restart and drive normally, however the stopping in the middle of oncoming traffic is potentially life threatening. It has occurred approx 8 times since i bought the car in June 2023. I had the ECO recall done and it also occurred shortly after that. I have taken it back to the dealer and they could not recreate the problem. It occurs after idling and waiting and then accelerating quickly to merge.
