Defect: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2007-2010 Lexus LS vehicles manufactured May 9, 2006, to July 20, 2010, 2006-2011 Lexus GS vehicles manufactured January 6, 2005, to September 10, 2010, and 2006-2011 Lexus IS vehicles manufactured August 30, 2005, to September 10, 2010. Due to anti-corrosion plating remnants, fuel may leak from where the fuel...
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will clean and reseal the fuel pressure sensor mounting area, free of charge. The recall began March 3, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.

Defect: TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006 THROUGH 2008 LEXUS PASSENGER CARS MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 26, 2005 THROUGH AUGUST 4, 2008. MICRO-FOREIGN OBJECTS IN THE MATERIAL OF THE VALVE SPRING MAY DEGRADE THE STRENGTH OF THE VALVE SPRING, POSSIBLY CAUSING THE SPRING TO BREAK.
Consequence: THE ENGINE COULD FAIL AND STOP SUDDENLY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: TOYOTA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.

The contact stated that touching the door panel interior covering with a finger caused the part to detach from their vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer who refused to repair the door panel. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under the Customer Support Program: ZLZ regarding the Repair Coverage for the Dashboard (Instrument Panel) and/or Certain Interior Trim Panels. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS LS460. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A GLARE REFLECTING OFF THE DASHBOARD WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING HER VISIBILITY AFFECTED BY THE GLARE. THE VEHICLE TO NALLEY LEXUS ROSWELL (980 MANSELL RD, ROSWELL, GA 30076, 770-284-8580) HOWEVER, A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS NOT PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,700.

WAS IN CONVERSATION WITH LEXUS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNWILLING TO STEP IN AND DO THE RIGHT THING IN ASSISTING ME WITH EITHER, OR BOTH, PROBLEMS. I'VE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR ALL OF 2 MONTHS, AND ALTHOUGH I UNDERSTAND THAT I BOUGHT IT USED, AS-IS WITH HIGHER MILEAGE, I THINK THAT SINCE THERE WAS A RECENT WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM ISSUED BY LEXUS ON THE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY, AND ALSO THAT THE FAILED AMPLIFIER IS A VERY, VERY WELL-KNOWN ISSUE, WHERE THE AMPLIFIER ALL OF A SUDDEN ONE DAY CUTS OUT AND ALL SOUND IS REPLACED BY AN INCESSANT CHIRPING NOISE THAT'S ONLY STOPPED BY PULLING THE WIRING HARNESS ON THE AMP OR A FUSE, THAT LEXUS SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING BY ITS LOYAL CUSTOMERS AND REPLACE FREE OF CHARGE.
