The anti-reflective coating on the rear view mirror on the inside of the car is coming through the mirror causing black spots that obscure vision out the back of the car. This issue affects all 2006-2011 Lexus gs models. All oem replacements online have this happen to some degree. I bought this car a couple months ago, this was an issue from the day I bought it and most likely started many years prior in my specific model.
#11573385 | FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE | | 170,000 miles
The contact owns a 2007 Lexus GS350. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitated to start and there was a fuel odor inside the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was jerking while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic, where it was diagnosed with engine misfire and defective fuel injectors. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V012000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000.
#11526849 | ENGINE | | N/A miles
My vehicle has been making noises on start-up and in time it makes the same knocking noise while idling. I brought my car to my mechanic and he says it’s my VVTI system failing and should be remedied under campaign 13V395000. The problem is holding Lexus accountable since it’s not an open recall under my VIN. I’ve contacted Lexus directly and confirmed this service was not completed. My VIN is listed on your site as being a potential for this issue. Please help, thanks.
