ON 11/14/2020 I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM CARISMA AUTO GROUP LOCATED IN TAMPA FL. ON 1/5/2021 WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY, THE WATER PUMP FAILED. ON 1/6/2021 IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT STOP LEAK CONCENTRATE WAS PUT IN THE RADIATOR.
DANGEROUS LAND ROVER TIMING CHAIN PROBLEM. A KNOWN AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH LAND ROVER VEHICLES HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION AS A RESULT OF FAILED REPAIR ATTEMPTS AND RESEARCH. THERE IS A WELL-KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE TIMING CHAINS ON 2010 LAND ROVER VEHICLES. OTHER VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED. MANY COMPLAINTS ARE IN EVIDENCE ON WEBSITES, CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS ARE BEING ORGANIZED, AND MANY EXPERT ARTICLES WRITTEN. DEALERS REPAIRING THESE VEHICLE ARE NOT ADDRESSING THE UNDERLYING ISSUE. CONSUMERS ARE PAYING FOR NEEDLESS AND INEFFECTIVE REPAIRS, AND A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION PERSISTS WHICH COULD LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC HARM. THIS IS A WELL-KNOWN AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ENGINE DESIGN FAULT. IT HAS BEEN ALLEGED THAT LAND ROVER KNEW OF THIS CONDITION AT THE TIME THE VEHICLES WERE SOLD. IF A TIMING CHAIN SKIPS THE CONSEQUENCES COULD BE A DISASTER ACCORDING TO EXPERTS I HAVE CONSULTED.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V374000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
GOES DEAD WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAPPENS BOTH IN TOWN AND ON THE HIGHWAY. YOU LOSE ALL OF YOUR POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THE DEALERSHIP NOR REGULAR SHOPS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT WILL START RIGHT BACK UP.
