Defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KEYSTONE HORNET TRAILER. THE CONTACT WAS PULLING OUT A TRUCK STOP WHEN THE LEFT TIRE ON THE REAR AXLE SUDDENLY FELL OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO SENT A REPRESENTATIVE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND BOTH REAR AXLES WERE REPLACED. BEFORE THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER THAT THERE WAS A SLIGHT LEAN TO THE LEFT BUT WAS OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE AT THE TIME. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 7,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,500.
