This was part of a prior recall. Vehicle Information : Keystone RV Company SEP 29, 2022 22V-726 22-437. We had it repaired because we lost our footpad shortly after purchasing the trailer. The recall was issued in 2022. Memorial Day weekend 2024 the exact same footpad came off again after supposedly being repaired at the dealership. It caused tire damage that had to be replaced. Luckily no one was injured.
#11504816 | TIRES | | N/A miles
I have HiSpec ST235/80R16 tires on my Fifth wheel. Every time I tow my rig I fear the worst because of the tires. These tires according to the forums are notorious for catastrophic failure without notice. When they fail they take out whatever is above them such as slide outs. Why are rv companies putting on these Chinese Time Bombs? They should not be on the road what so ever because of how they can fail without notice. I have been lucky so far but I am having to fork out 1300 dollars for new tires from Hercules. Pull these tires off the road now and have rv companies reimburse owners for having to swap out the tires. Thank you. I am putting in today's date since the incident is yet to happen for me. I also only drive 55 to 59 mph when towing because I fear these tires will blow out on me. Fix this company.
