All Forward Collision Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking Complaints
The vehicle was bought June 2023, starting September 2023 we have had continual electrical problems. The blind spot warning system constantly activates and takes over. The automatic braking system randomly activates for no reason. The car will go into full braking and stop. This will happen at all speeds to include highway speeds. Now I am getting check engine lights and the code changes every time the light activates. When we take it to the dealership for service all we get is "we can't replicate the issue" and nothing is fixed. I ran a Car Fax and found that instead of coding the problem that it was brought in for, Jeep has coded it as maintenance inspection or electrical system checked. This is even when modules, radios or electrical systems have been replaced. I have a feeling that Jeep is coding this way to avoid recalls or to hide problems....
Truck has multiple electrical issues like the auto emergency braking, braking on its own had to turn feature off and now the power steering system, the steering wheel got stiff and truck turn off multiple times. Power steering light comes on then goes away after sitting off for a while
The car randomly loses communication with power steering module and locks the steering column. This car has been in shop 6 times for it happening. Creates very unsafe situation as I’m unable to steer car to safety.
Brakes completely went out, needed a brake module, received the vehicle back and the brake light is on
After very minor accident the car crash symbol and the car in lane symbol came on and will not turn off. Took to dealer and they said there was no update to correct the problem. Feel unsafe in a car that should be safe since it's new. And has error message of limited functionality.
Driving vehicle with no vehicles within 100 yards directly in front of vehicle and with 1 car in the lane to vehicles right on a 2-lane road. Vehicle on the right was about 30-40 car lengths ahead of my own vehicle. The collision detection system and emergency braking system sounded off, lit up the dash panel stating BREAK, and then applied the brakes while going 50 mph with drivers behind me. The driver behind me had to swerve onto the left median to avoid colliding with my vehicle. The obvious issue here is that no vehicle was within any distance that should have triggered my collision avoidance system, but yet it went off unexpectedly and almost caused the person behind me to wreck their vehicle into mine. No check engine light or other service lights were on at the time of this event or subsequent events I have experience since...
